First time here? Here’s what to expect!
We would love for you will stop by to worship with us! We also know that walking into a new place – even a new church – for the first time can be a little overwhelming, so here are some things you might want to know.
What are the people like?
The wonderful group of believers who worship here at Siloam Springs Nazarene are warm and welcoming. It’s not uncommon for a smiling face to greet you every few minutes when you first arrive. We know that you are loved and valued by God – so we want to make sure you know you are loved and valued by us as well!
What should I wear?
You'll see a mix of people on Sunday mornings! Some people like to dress in their "Sunday best," but you'll also see people that are perfectly comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. Don't worry about what to wear - we're just happy to have you join us.
What is worship like?
Our regular worship service is on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am. The music is a mix of hymns and choruses, and lyrics are displayed on a screen. You will be invited to stand, but feel free to sit if that is more comfortable for you.
Pastor Tim will preach a message during the service that will be Bible-based and engaging for all ages.
The whole family is welcome to worship as a family in our service. We have activities available to help keep kids and teens engaged during service. But don't worry...we love hearing the sounds of kids in our service! Kids are never a distraction and are always welcome!
Listening assistance devices are available – just ask a greeter for assistance.
Do you have childcare during worship and events?
During our worship service, our nursery is available for children up through the age of 3. For ages 4-12+, children are always welcome in the regular church worship service. We provide activity sheets for any kid or teen (or even adult!) that would like one. Miss Julia distributes prizes for completing the activity sheet.
Childcare is available for some church events, but you should check the event details or contact the church with questions about a specific event.
Do you serve Communion?
We serve Communion every quarter or so. As Nazarenes, we practice “open Communion” – which means that guests are welcome to participate in Communion, even if they are not part of our church or our denomination.
How about Sunday School?
We have Sunday School for everyone (nursery through adult) on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am.
I have more questions!
